1. First, write something worthwhile. As you're serving audience who wants to keep themselves abreast on new issues, it's important that you write stories that are hot and those that can have a huge impact on the lives of your readers. In here, you cannot afford to write simple tips or how-to; instead you must focus your attention on current events, sports, entertainment, and even police reports.

2. Decide on the story that you'll write about. It must be current and newsworthy. You can write about international and national issues, police reports, sports, economy, and even entertainment. I recommend that you stick with those topics that you're an expert on so you can give your readers the kind of information that they need.

3. Use the inverted pyramid technique. There is no better and there is no other way to write your newspaper articles than using this technique.
