Top 10: Drinking Video Games

10. Street Fighter IVDrinking Game: Focus Attacks, if you successfully do a counter strike your opponent has to drink!

Focus Attacks, known as "Saving Attack" in the Japanese version, is a new system introduced in Street Fighter IV. The focus attack is a move that allows the player to absorb an attack and launch a counter attack, and it is performed by pressing the medium punch and kick buttons simultaneously. There are two phases to the attack. In the first phase, the player will shift into a new stance, at which point he or she is able to absorb a single hit from the opponent. The second phase is the counter attack.

The longer the player holds down the medium punch and kick buttons, the more powerful the attack will be. If the buttons are held for long enough the attack will be unblockable and cause the opponent to crumple slowly to the ground, allowing the player to follow up with a free hit. Attacks that were absorbed during the first phase of a focus attack still cause damage to the player; however, life lost from the opponent's attack will be quickly regenerated afterward.

In addition, during the first phase of the focus attack the player may perform a dash either forward or backward to cancel the focus attack. Finally, at the cost of half the super combo gauge, many special moves can be canceled into a focus attack. By executing a focus attack during the special move, the animation of the move will be cut short and go instantly into the focus attack animation. This allows players with precise timing to cancel special moves into focus attacks, and in turn cancel focus attacks into the forward dash, resulting in new combo possibilities.

If a special move is blocked by the opponent, the new system allows players to cancel the blocked move with a focus attack, and then cancel the focus attack by dashing backward safely away from the opponent.

Ono has stated that this system was incorporated in order to shift the emphasis away from combos and toward a more realistic system he has compared to boxing, in which "the skill is in reading your opponent's move before he or she starts moving ... We haven't forgotten about combos and linked moves, but focus makes it so that you have to read your opponent." The system aims to make ground attacks as viable a way of approaching opponents as jumping was in previous games. The focus system is a core part of Street Fighter IV's gameplay. -Wikipedia.org

9. Madden NFL 09Drinking Game: However many points you get during the game, your opponent has to drink that many when you score them. 6 points! Take 6 sips!

Madden NFL 09 for the Xbox 360 received a 9 out of 10 rating from Xbox Magazine, as well as four out of five stars and Game of the Month from PlayStation: The Official Magazine. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions got an 8.8/10 from IGN and the Wii version got an 8.6 out of 10, receiving only 0.2 points less than it's Sony and Microsoft counterparts from IGN.com X-Play gave Madden 09 a 5 out of 5. GameSpot gave Madden NFL 09 an 8 out of 10, for both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. GameSpot gave the Wii version 7.0/10. Official Nintendo Magazine gave the Wii version 87%. -Wikipedia.org

8. Goldeneye 007Drinking Game: The first person to get the Golden Gun does NOT have to take a shot or chug a beer. Anyone who gets killed by way of the Golden Gun has to take a beer.

It was featured in the video game GoldenEye 007 in a multiplayer scenario, The Man with the Golden Gun. Only one player could have the gun at a time, either acquired by picking it up at the spawn point, but it is the only gun that breaks once either its user dies or when it runs out of ammo. The weapon, which provided one-shot-kills, was also used in the game's Egyptian level (which required completion of all other of the game's levels to be completed on the hardest difficulty to unlock), locked away in a shatter-proof glass box which required completion of a puzzle in order to unlock.

The gun was needed to defeat the level's boss, Baron Samedi, who had so much health he could withstand several of the one-shot-killer bullets and had to be killed three times as well. Because of the popularity of both the game and the weapon itself it would later be featured in other James Bond video games: The World Is Not Enough, Agent Under Fire, Nightfire, Everything or Nothing, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, Quantum of Solace, and From Russia with Love.

Many of these games also feature golden variations of other weapons (such as the Walther PPK, Walther P99, Desert Eagle, and a rocket launcher). A golden revolver (similar to the original golden gun described in the novel) can be found in Goldeneye 007's spiritual successor Perfect Dark, where it is used by one of the main antagonists Trent Easton and Joanna herself if she manages to disarm him. -Wikipedia.org

7. Burnout: ParadiseDrinking Game: The number of wheels you lose = the number of shots

The "Cagney" update was released on schedule on July 10, 2008 for PlayStation 3 and on August 4, 2008 for the Xbox 360. The update introduces three new Freeburn multiplayer modes: Online Stunt Run, Marked Man and Road Rage. Online Stunt Run involves up to 8 players who simultaneously compete for the highest stunt score within 2 minutes. Road Rage features two teams; one must race to a checkpoint while the others tries to stop them through takedowns. Marked Man is like a game of tag, with one player as the Marked Man who cannot see the other players and has no boost.

In addition there are 70 new online challenges. These new challenges are different from Free Burn challenges, being timed. Timed challenges start once all players gather at a point of interest. The players then must all complete an objective within a certain time, such as jumping a ramp. "Cagney" also brought custom soundtracks and 1080i support to the PlayStation 3 version. -Wikipedia.org

6. LittleBigPlanetDrinking Game: Each sack boy you kill on your friends side means they have to take a drink.

The Play section of LittleBigPlanet consists of a number of levels that have been created by Media Molecule, and are based around different themes that draw inspiration from real-world locations, such as Japanese gardens, dry Mexican deserts, New York City streets and icy Russian stages. By completing the levels available to them (by reaching the scoreboard), the player may then advance the story and play further unlocked levels. The story mode comprises eight themed areas, with each area containing three or four main levels, and some of these levels in turn contain collectable keys to unlock bonus mini-levels.

The main story mode comprises more than 50 pre-built levels in total. To control their Sackboy character, the player moves by using the analogue sticks, jump with varying degrees of height depending on the pressure applied to the action button, and grab onto objects to either move or swing on them. In addition to regular left-and-right movement, and despite the 2D look of the game, levels consist of three levels of depththe foreground, middle and backgroundand may be traversed between either automatically by the game itself, or by the player's command.

The player can opt to emote their Sackboy by applying varying degrees of delight, fear, sadness, and rage, control each arm independently through the analogue sticks, slap other players by jerking the arm movement with the analogue sticks, and use the Sixaxis motion-sensing functionality to animate the character's head and body. The player can access the Popit menu at any time. -Wikipedia.org

5. Mario PartyDrinking Game: Any player that gets a star in the star space gets to pick someone to take a swig!

Every game in the main series has a standard Party Mode in which up to four players play through a board, trying to collect as many stars as possible. In every turn, each player rolls a die and progresses on the board, which usually has branching paths. Coins are primarily earned by performing well in a minigame played at the end of each turn. On most boards, players earn stars by reaching a star space and purchasing a star for a certain amount of coins.

The star space appears randomly on one of several pre-determined locations and moves every time a star is purchased, usually occupying a blue space. Every Mario Party contains at least 50 to almost 110 minigames with a few different types. Four-player games are a free-for-all in which players compete individually. In 2-on-2 and 1-on-3 minigames, players compete as two groups, cooperating to win, even though they are still competing individually in the main game. Some minigames in Mario Party 1 are 4-player co-op, even though it doesn't say it. In most situations, winners earn ten coins each. -Wikipedia.org

4. Boom BloxDrinking Game: In castle destruction in the party mode, who ever has the least amount of gem blocks left at the end has to drink!

In addition to single player, there are also over 100 cooperative and competitive multiplayer levels available in Party mode that can be played by up to four people on one screen, by taking turns, and on a split screen. Cooperative play involves destroying or building structures together with friends and family while competitive play involves playing against others to accumulate the highest scores by destroying blocks with positive point values attached or attacking the opponent's castle to destroy their gem blocks within. -Wikipedia.org

3. Guitar Hero: World TourDrinking Game: Any band member who misses the most notes has to take a drink

Guitar Hero World Tour (initially referred to as Guitar Hero IV or Guitar Hero IV: World Tour) is a music video game developed by Neversoft and published by RedOctane and Activision. It is the fourth main entry in the Guitar Hero series. The game was launched in North America in October 2008 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 consoles, and a month later for Europe and Australia.

A version of World Tour for Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh was later released. While the game continues to feature the use of a guitar-shaped controller to simulate the playing of rock music, Guitar Hero World Tour is the first game in the Guitar Hero series to feature drum and microphone controllers for percussion and vocal parts, similar in manner to the competing Rock Band series of games. The game allows users to create new songs through the "Music Studio" mode, which can then be uploaded and shared through a service known as "GHTunes". -Wikipedia.org

2. Wii Sports ResortDrinking Game: Losing an event = a drink

Wii Sports Resort is set in a beach resort on an island called Wuhu Island, similar to Wii Fit's running island, where twelve different sports are available to play. Like the original, the sports are each played by holding the Wii Remote (and in some cases, the Nunchuk) in a manner similar to the actual sport being replicated. For example, in Archery, the player holds the Wii Remote vertically to hold the bow, and pulls back the Nunchuk to pull back the bow's string.

The new feature that Wii Sports Resort brings is Wii MotionPlus compatibility, which enables 1:1 control and allows the games to be played with greater accuracy. For example, in Wii Sports Tennis, the player's shots were all determined by which direction the Wii Remote is swung like a racket. Wii Sports Resort offers a new variation, Table Tennis (previously featured in Wii Play), where the player has greater control over adding spin to the ball by twisting the Wii Remote while swinging.

Wii MotionPlus is required for all Wii Remotes being used with Wii Sports Resort. Most sports with up to 3 or 4 players will allow one Wii Remote to be shared among players while taking turns. Canoeing is the one exception where a controller is required for all 4 players. -Wikipedia.org

1. Super Smash Bros. BrawlDrinking Game: Every time a player gets blown off the screen that player has to take a drink!

In addition to the standard multiplayer mode, Brawl features other multiplayer modes and options in Group mode. Special Melee, from the previous game, returns as Special Brawl. In this mode, players are able to battle in matches using special rules for a greater level of customization. Whereas previously standard options such as "Giant Melee" or "Invisible Melee" were limited to one feature per match, players may now select multiple options for a single match.

Another returning game type, Tourney mode (formerly Tournament mode), enables players to create an elimination-based tournament, where up to 32 players can play, with a large number of game-controlled or human-controlled opponents. A "Rotation" feature has been introduced in Brawl, which allows up to sixteen players to compete in sequence by switching out winners or losers after each round. -Wikipedia.org

29 Best Oasis Songs: Top Songs by Oasis

Oasis was one of the most successful bands during the 1990s and even with regular turmoil between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher they still maintained popularity during the last decade before eventually splitting up for good in 2009. Their first two albums, Definitely Maybe and (Whats the Story) Morning Glory are both classics and they did put out enough material during their run to give fans plenty of music to listen to without the band existing in the same form anymore. For this list I chose what I think are the 29 best songs by Oasis in no particular order but they are still all wonderful tracks.

Supersonic- Great song from Definitely Maybe has a nice unique sound to it with a great hook.

Some Might Say

Live Forever- Live Forever is a fantastic track, upbeat and catchy,

I Hope

Rock N Roll Star- Just a pure rock song about, well, being a rock n roll star.

Stand By Me

Slide Away- Hold me down - all the world's asleep need you now - you've knocked me off my feet I dream of you - we talk of growing old But you said please don't!

Dont Go Away

Cigarettes and Alcohol- I was looking for some action but all I found was cigarettes and alcohol. Really awesome song and the intro sounds just like Bang the Gong.

My Big Mouth

Wonderwall- Everyone has heard this song and loves it. Wonderwall is just an amazing tune.

Champagne Supernova

Cast No Shadow- Cast No Shadow is a wonderful ballad off of (Whats the Story) Morning Glory?

Stop Crying Your Heart Out

Dont Look Back in Anger- Beautiful song and easily in the top three from this list.

She Is Love

Digsys Dinner- It clocks in well under three minutes but that just means youll have to hit repeat more often.

Songbird

DYou Know What I Mean?- Excellent single from Be Here Now, always loved the video for this song when I was younger.

The Turning

Bag It Up- First track from Dig Out Your Soul and what a way to kick off the album. The freaks are rising up from the floor.

Now Wally believes that his ears are too big and unsightly, and begins taping them back at night. All works out well in the end as Gloria later elaborates, deeming Wallys pug nose "cute." The scene in which a curious Beaver tries on Wallys Roman nose converter is priceless, making him look like a young Hannibal Lecter.

Whitey summons his dad Frank Whitney (Harry Holcombe) to the scene, with Wally, many of his party guests, Mr. Whitney and Ward Cleaver himself witnessing the rescue as an embarrassed Beaver is hauled out of the bowl by the fire department. Look for the big surprise on Wards face as Frank Whitney tells him that its his Beaver trapped up there in the huge soup bowl. After the rescue, a little boy (Jimmy Gaines) asks for Beavers autograph, proving that "celebrity" takes many forms. Check out Wallys party guest attire: jackets and ties for the gents and dresses for the girls.

Ah, that Eddie, who introduces Wallys new, overcoat-wearing friend as "Dumbley" McMillan.

"Beavers Short Pants" - December 13, 1957

Stuffy old Aunt Martha (Madge Kennedy) comes to stay with the Cleavers while June is away visiting her sister Peggy. Spying Beavers current attire, she takes him to a high-end store and outfits the Beav in a suit, short pants, knee socks, bowtie and beanie. Now decked out like Little Lord Fauntelroy, Beaver heads to school where the kids, led by awful Judy Hensler (Jeri Weil) and pudgy Larry Mondello (Rusty Stevens), mercilessly raz him. Ward hears of Beavers problem and subsequent fight at school, and meets him out in the garage before he goes to work, redressing his son and sparing Aunt Marthas feelings. Poor Beaver, he nearly got murdered at school!

Mr. Haller advises that its best to let these fads run their course. But when little Beaver emulates his brother, coming down the stairs with the exact hairstyle, June lowers the boom, marching him back upstairs and telling both the Beav and Wally that the jellyroll has run its course in the Cleaver household. The jazzy saxophone music that blares from the soundtrack whenever the jellyroll is glimpsed is good for a few laughs by itself. Ward doesnt seemed too concerned until Wally hints that he may not go out for the swimming team if it means losing his new hairstyle.

Teleplay: Joe Connelly, Bob Mosher with story by George Tibbles

Director: Norman Tokar

Tony Dow in "Wally's Haircomb," May 21, 1959 (ABC-TV)

"Beaver Plays Hooky" - January 22, 1959

Habitually late for school, Beaver and pal Larry Mondello (Rusty Stevens) decide to play hooky rather than show up and face the wrath of Miss Landers (Sue Randall). Growing hungry, the two boys head to a local grocery store in order to scrounge some free samples. Here they wind up on a live TV show hosted by cowboy star Marshall Moran (Dick Lane), who interviews the boys and asks them why they arent in school. They concoct a wild story about a school flood, which mysteriously washed out their two desks only. Catching all of this on television are June and Wally, with the latter sent home by the school nurse. Dick Lane is hilarious as the rootin tootin Marshall Moran, who hands out free candy bars ("Theyre powerful good!") and makes a wry observation of his two young interviewees: "Looks to me like you two mavericks just kind of jumped the old corral fence. I hope the truant officer aint a-looking in. Id like to give you a book to shove down the seat of your trousers when your pappy takes you out to that old woodshed."

Teleplay: Roland MacLane, Dick Conway, Bob Mosher, Joe Connelly with story by Roland MacLane and Dick Conway

Director: Norman Tokar

"Wallys License" - October 11, 1962

Wally is enrolled in Mr. Barnsdalls (Russ Bender) drivers education class, with know-it-all Shirley Fletcher (Beverly Lunsford) as his fellow student driver. Wally successfully completes the course and is ready to take his drivers license test. Ward takes him down to the testing facility where Shirley is also preparing to take her exam. Wally passes the test and gets his license, but overconfident Shirley fails, later telling Wally that the examiner is prejudiced against teenagers! Great role for Atlanta-born Beverly Lunsford, who ably delivers as the teenage backseat driver from high school hell.

Teleplay: Bob Ross

Director: Norman Abbott

"Beaver and Andy" - February 13, 1960

Andy Hadlock (Wendell Holmes) comes looking for handyman work at the Cleaver home. Andy is an old acquaintance of Wards, who hires him to paint the trim on the house. But Andy has a problem hes a recovering alcoholic something which Ward and June keep from the boys. One hot day, Andy comes in from work and asks Beaver if his father keeps any liquor around. Beaver innocently gives Andy what he wants, a bottle of brandy that had been a gift from Uncle Billy, with Andy later falling off a ladder and having to be taken home. A remorseful Andy later meets Beaver on the street, telling him how sorry he is and that he will return to finish the painting job for his dad. A haunting, offbeat segment for this early sitcom, made more so by Beavers occasional singing of "My Darlin Clementine." Wendell Holmes as Andy gives a moving performance, and registers one of the shows best lines: "An empty bottle and an empty life go pretty much hand in hand."

Teleplay: Joe Connelly, Bob Mosher

Director: David Butler

"The Grass Is Always Greener" - January 8, 1959

Beaver befriends the trash man, Henry Fletcher (Jess Kirkpatrick), eventually going over to his place on Euclid Avenue where he meets Henrys two children, Pete (Don Lyon) and Chris (Billy Chapin). June is appalled that Beaver went over to play in a yard so near the dump, so Ward suggests that Beaver invite the Fletcher kids to the Cleavers instead of returning there. Although Wally originally planned to go to the movies with Chester and Tooey, he opts to stay and play with the Fletcher boys, with Pete showing him out to fashion modus joints for the shoeshine box he was building. The Fletchers open the eyes of the Cleavers, with young Chris commenting that Beavers mom looks like a movie star and Wally later asking Ward if they could start working together on projects again with the long-abandoned tool box. A very poignant episode, with the scene in which Pete and Chris simply stretch out on the green grass of the Cleaver yard and admire the view coming as one of the shows highlights.

Teleplay: Joe Connelly, Bob Mosher with story by John Whedon

Director: Norman Tokar

Ten Best Juvenile Delinquency Movies

British quad movie poster: James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause (1955)

Youth gone bad is a familiar theme in Hollywood. Here are ten classic juvenile delinquency movies that are sure to please film fans of the genre. Crazy, mixed-up kids! Please pass the popcorn, brass knuckles and switchblades...

Rebel Without a Cause (Warner Bros., 1955)

The big daddy-o among juvenile delinquency films, Rebel Without a Cause stars the incomparable James Dean as Jim Stark, with Natalie Wood, Sal Mineo, Corey Allen, Dennis Hopper and Nick Adams also portraying troubled youth. Theres plenty of teenage angst and juvie action in this one, including underage drinking, gangs, tire-slashing, a knife fight pitting James Dean vs. Corey Allen, the infamous "chickie run" involving two cars careening toward a cliff and a police standoff at Griffith Park Observatory. Rebel Without a Cause roared into movie theaters on October 27, 1955. James Dean, however, was not at the premiere, having been killed in a car crash some four weeks earlier on September 30, 1955. "Youre tearing me apart!" an anguished Dean tells his "square" parents, Jim Backus and Ann Doran, in one of the movies famous scenes.

Director: Nicholas Ray

Review: "It is a violent, brutal and disturbing picture of modern teen-agers that Warner Brothers presents in its new melodrama at the AstorYoung people neglected by their parents or given no understanding and moral support by fathers and mothers who are themselves unable to achieve balance and security in their homes are the bristling heroes and heroines of this excessively graphic exercise." - Bosley Crowther, The New York Times (10/27/55)

On DVD: Rebel Without a Cause Special Edition (Warner, 1999)

The Blackboard Jungle (MGM, 1955)

Based on the novel of the same name by Evan Hunter, The Blackboard Jungle premiered at New York Citys Loews State Theater on March 19, 1955. Glenn Ford stars as Richard Dadier, a U.S. Navy veteran who garners his first teaching assignment in the "combat zone" at a tough inner-city vocational high school. Playing the students in the film with their real ages at the time listed in parenthesis (talk about no "child" left behind) are Vic Morrow (26), Sidney Poitier (28), Paul Mazursky (25), Jameel Farah a.k.a. Jamie Farr (21), Danny Dennis (28) and Dan Terranova (25). The Blackboard Jungle shocked moviegoers of the era. One particularly disturbing scene takes place in the library, where a teacher is sexually assaulted by a student. The "kids" also trash the prized jazz record collection of educator Richard Kiley while Vic Morrow, as the sneering little punk Artie West, comes after Glenn Ford with a switchblade. The Blackboard Jungle, which also features Anne Francis, Louis Calhern and Margaret Hayes, gets off to a rousing start with a blaring rendition of Bill Haley and His Comets "(Were Gonna) Rock Around the Clock." But Happy Days this movie isnt. "You ever try to fight thirty-five guys at one time, Teach?" Vic Morrow tells Glenn Ford. Calling all education majors!

Director: Richard Brooks

Review: "Glenn Ford, Morrow and Poitier are so real in their performances under the probing direction by Brooks that the picture alternatingly has the viewer pleading, indignant and frightened before the conclusion." Variety (3/2/55)

On DVD: Controversial Classics Collection (Warner, 2005)

French grande movie poster: The Blackboard Jungle (1955)

Crime School (Warner Bros., 1938)

Humphrey Bogart stars as Deputy Commissioner Mark Braden, who takes over the reins of a troubled reform school from a sadistic warden. First, Bogie must win over the kids, who view him suspiciously as just another "screw." The famous Dead End Kids join Bogart in the cast: Billy Halop, Bobby Jordan, Huntz Hall, Leo Gorcey, Bernard Punsly and Gabriel Dell. Gale Page plays Halops sister Sue and Bogies love interest in the film. One scene particularly stands out when an escaping Frankie (Halop) gets tangled up in a barbed wire fence during a driving rainstorm and is subsequently beaten with a whip. Ah, those Dead End Kids, with faces only a mother could love.

Director: Lewis Seiler

Review: "Typical Bowery Boys juvi pulp flirting with the dark side but they end up learning to be, basically, good eggs thanks to some positive intervention. Young Bogie and the lads fill their roles with usual charm." Gary W. Tooze, DVDBeaver (2009)

On DVD: Crime School (Warner Bros., 2009)

The Cry Baby Killer (Allied Artists, 1958)

A 21-year-old Jack Nicholson, in his motion picture debut, appears as Jimmy Wallace a.k.a. "The Cry Baby Killer." Nicholson as the 17-year-old Wallace rumbles with a couple of bad-ass gang members over a girl (Carolyn Morrison). When one of the punks pulls out a revolver, it falls to the ground, with young Jimmy picking it up and plugging the two hoods. Thinking that he murdered the pair, a panicked Jimmy takes old Sam (Smoki Whitfield), Mrs. Maxton (Barbara Knudson) and her infant hostage as he seeks refuge in a storeroom. Lt. Porter (Harry Lauter) and his boys in blue respond to the hostage situation as a huge crowd gathers outside, with the cops eventually using tear gas to smoke Jimmy out.

Director: Jus Addiss

Review: "Jack Nicholson stars in his screen debut as Jimmy, a kid who accidentally shoots his ex-girlfriends slimy new boyfriend (Brett Halsey)Cry Baby Killer is an OK juvenile delinquent movie thats only notable for being Jacks first movie. As cool as it is seeing him in such an early role, he unfortunately doesnt get a lot of screen time." - Mitch Lovell, The Video Vacuum (2010)

On DVD: The Cry Baby Killer Back-to-Back Jack Edition (Buena Vista, 2006)

Half sheet movie poster: The Cry Baby Killer (1958)

The Young Savages (United Artists, 1961)

Burt Lancaster stars as Hank Bell, an assistant district attorney in New York City who investigates the murder of a blind Puerto Rican boy by a trio of Italian-American teens. Racial tensions and gangs conspire to make this juvie melodrama a memorable one, with Dina Merrill, Edward Andrews, Vivian Nathan, Shelley Winters and Telly Savalas also in the cast. The troubled youths in the movie are portrayed by Luis Arroyo (Zorro), Richard Velez (Gargantua), John Davis Chandler (Arthur Reardon), Neil Nephew (Anthony "Batman" Aposto), et al. The movie is based on the Evan Hunter novel, A Matter of Conviction.

Director: John Frankenheimer

Review: "Poverty, ignorance, racial hatred, instability and insecurity are dutifully named and demonstrated as motivations behind the aggressions of the members of the Puerto Rican and Italian gangs (the Horsemen and the Thunderbirds) that constitute the rivals in this film. Director John Frankenheimers camera has described them realistically." Bosley Crowther, The New York Times (5/25/61)

On DVD: Not commercially available

West Side Story (United Artists, 1961)

One of Hollywoods greatest musicals, West Side Story stars Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn, Rita Moreno and George Chakiris as troubled youth in the Big Apple. Its the Jets vs. the Sharks in this $6 million movie spectacular, with a stellar lineup of tunes and athletic dancing sprinkled among the gang rumbles, switchblades and romance. West Side Story scored big at the Academy Awards, winning ten Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor (Chakiris), Best Supporting Actress (Moreno) and Best Music. "Tonight," "Maria" and "America" top the films impressive soundtrack. "When youre a Jet, Youre a Jet all the way, From your first cigarette, To your last dyin day."

Director: Jerome Robbins, Robert Wise

Review: "West Side Story is a beautifully-mounted, impressive, emotion-ridden and violent musical which, in its stark approach to a raging social problem and realism of unfoldment, may set a pattern for future musical presentations. Screen takes on a new dimension in this powerful and sometimes fascinating translation of the Broadway musical to the greater scope of motion pictures." - Whitney Williams, Variety (9/27/61).

The Delicate Delinquent (Paramount, 1957)

Jerry Lewis stars as Sidney L. Pythias, a youthful janitor who is picked up as a wannabe gang member during a police sweep. Officer Mike Damon (Darren McGavin) sees potential in young Sidney, who later enters the police academy and becomes a patrolman in his old neighborhood. But the rookie cop lands in hot water during a gang rumble when his service revolver is later identified as the gun that wounded young Artie (Richard Bakalyan) during the fight. Martha Hyer, Robert Ivers and Horace McMahon also appear in this comedy-drama, with Jerry Lewis and Darren McGavin turning in stellar performances.

Director: Don McGuire

Review: "With plainly the best of intentions, Jerry Lewis has made his first independent production a serious-message comedy. It is called The Delicate Delinquent. It came to the Mayfair yesterday and the message is that it is better to be a respected policeman than a juvenile bum." - Bosley Crowther (7/4/57)

Up the Down Staircase (Warner Bros., 1967)

Sandy Dennis gives a moving performance as Sylvia Barrett, a young English teacher who takes a job at a rough inner-city New York high school. The place of "higher learning" is Calvin Coolidge High, a dysfunctional institution where the bells ring at odd times, windows remain broken, school supplies go undelivered and the kids generally have no interest in their studies. Patrick Bedford, Eileen Heckart, Ruth White, Jean Stapleton and Sorrell Booke also appear, with Jeff Howard giving a good performance as troubled, dangerous teen Joe Ferone. In one memorable scene, a teacher is lauded for having served in the military police, something that will come in handy at turbulent Calvin Coolidge High School. "Disregard all bells," Jean Stapletons Mrs. Sadie Finch repeatedly announces over the school intercom. Okay, but dont disregard this picture, which won Sandy Dennis a Best Actress award at the Moscow International Film Festival.

Director: Robert Mulligan

Review: "Here is an honest film about one aspect of life as it is lived in our large cities. The school and the students come through with unmistakable authenticity. The camera is alert but not obtrusive, allowing the classroom to emerge spontaneously and not through stagy tricks, and everything is brought together by Miss Dennis quiet, natural, splendid performance." - Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times (7/25/67)

Rock n Roll High School (New World, 1979)

The setting is Vince Lombardi High School, where rock n roll-crazed students challenge the administration. The new principal is the uncool Miss Evelyn Togar (Mary Woronov), whose dislike for rock music sets up a confrontation with her charges. P.J. Soles, Vincent Van Patten, Clint Howard, Dey Young and the legendary punk rock band the Ramones all conspire to make executive producer Roger Cormans Rock n Roll High School a juvie classic. The soundtrack is absolutely rad, featuring such tunes as "Blitzkrieg Bop" (Ramones), "Teenage Depression" (Eddie & The Hot Rods), "Smokin in the Boys Room" (Brownsville Station), "Schools Out" (Alice Cooper) and "High School" (MC5). Ah, caught you singing along!

Director: Allan Arkush

Review: "Rock n Roll High School purports to be little more than summer fun, and, in its zanily unpretentious way, it is certainly that." - John Rockwell, The New York Times (8/4/79)

On DVD: Rock n Roll High School (Shout! Factory, 2010)

Hot Rods to Hell (MGM, 1967)

Fast cars, fast chicks and a pair of young hoodlums in a Corvette combine to make for a high-octane ride down juvie memory lane. Paul Bertoya (Duke) and Gene Kirkwood (Ernie) along with party girl Mimsy Farmer (Gloria) terrorize Dana Andrews and family (Jeanne Crain, Laurie Mock, Tim Stafford) on an isolated stretch of California desert highway. In their souped-up Vette, the gang drives circles around Andrews in his square 1961 Plymouth Belvedere. But Andrews as the hapless Tom Phillips with bad back, nagging wife, whining kidsand all manages to spring a vicious trap on the hot rod hellraisers.

Director: John Brahm

Review: "Neither Hot Rods to Hell nor Wild, Wild Planet, the double bill that opened yesterday in neighborhood theaters, is as bad as their labels portend. The first of these Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer color releases, heading the bill, is a harrowing account of the harassment of a nice, All-American family by some animalistic teen-agers, murderously careering around in flashy cars. This is a well-intentioned, but lumpy little picture." - Bosley Crowther, The New York Times (8/10/67)

Album Reviews : Definitely Maybe by Oasis

Definitely Maybe was Oasis first album release back in 2004. It went straight in at number one in the British album charts and was the fastest selling debut album of all time and managed to sell 2.1 million copies in the UK and 7 million worldwide. I never really liked Oasis when I first heard them, although I found they did grow on me and, just like many other people, after buying (Whats The Story) Morning Glory and thinking it was the best album of all time (back then) I decided to purchase Definitely Maybe. I was not disappointed and to this day this is still one of my all time favorite albums.

The tracks on this album include;

1) Rock N Roll Star

2) Shakermaker

3) Live Forever

4) Up In The Sky

5) Columbia

6) Supersonic

7) Bring It On Down

8) Cigarettes And Alcohol

9) Digsys Diner

10 ) Slide Away

11) Married With Children

12) Sad Song

The tracks on this album are not as iconic as those on (Whats The Story) Morning Glory and this album is not as popular but I think that overall this album is better, only marginally, but better nonetheless. I find the lyrics of all Oasiss songs to be simple, meaningless and something that most people (myself included) cannot relate to. In my opinion the lyrics lack depth and whilst I am sure Oasis are trying to tell a story through their songs I dont think it is very clear. Despite this I find that the lyrics, when combined with the music, make a great overall song.

Liam Gallagher is the singer for nearly all of Oasis songs, however this album gives us the chance to hear what Noel (the song writer and most talented of the Gallagher brothers) can do as he takes over the microphone in Married With Children. I must say that Noel does not disappoint and his vocals are great for this song.

Liams voice is edgy, raw and too loud for Married With Children as this is more of a slower ballad type song rather than a rock n roll song. Noels voice is softer and he appears to have more control over the sound, and this does suit this song.

Other than Married With Children all the songs on this album are upbeat and quite fast tempo tunes. They are great to sing along to and require the volume to be cranked right up to really enjoy them. I find these great driving anthems although I dont think that any of them has ever appeared on a designated driving anthem album, like the ones released under the Top Gear name.

My favorite songs are Live Forever and Slide Away. I am unsure what the story is behind them and in all honesty I dont really care, I just find them quite catchy.

Live Forever is a typical example of meaningless lyrics. Maybe, I dont really want to know. How your garden grows cause I just want to fly. Lately, have you ever felt the pain, in the morning rain as it soaks you to the bone. What does this mean? Where on earth did it come from? What is the inspiration behind this? Personally, I dont really care about the answers to these questions as I am not the sort of person that sits there and analyses things to the nth degree. I just find it entertaining.

Although Live Forever and Slide Away are my favorites I like all the tracks on this album and to coin the phrase they are all killers with no fillers is spot on. I dont skip through any of the tracks and am happy to listen from track one all the way through to track 12, which is something I cant say about many other albums. Definitely Maybe is a fantastic album and is worthy of anyones CD collection.

Matching Lingerie Sets: The Foundation Of The Perfect Lingerie Collection

Matching lingerie sets make it so easy to shop for intimate apparel that there's no excuse for drab drawers. Even the guys can get in on the shopping fun when the mixing and matching has already been done. As easy and convenient as could be, these sets make getting dressed in the early morning hours a piece of cake.

Sheer erotic lingerie will never go out of style. There's just something about see-through lingerie we can't get enough of. Check out any online lingerie gallery, and you'll see the abundance of sheer lingerie. Perhaps it's because it's got just the right "tease" factor. You see some but not all. Sheer erotic lingerie gives the illusion of nudity, yet the fabric barrier saucily says "not yet."

The simplest way to purchase sheer lingerie is to buy a matching lingerie set. Sometimes both pieces are sheer; sometimes one piece is see-through and the other piece is solid. Matching lingerie sets are available everywhere, from your favorite department store to a specialty lingerie gallery.

Part of the appeal of womens lingerie sets is that you just can't go wrong. An intimate apparel expert has already put together the perfect pair for you. For that reason, matching lingerie sets are ideal gifts.
Shopping for lingerie for his girlfriend or wife can be a terribly intimidating, even embarrassing, experience for a man. Men feel like fish out of water in the lingerie department. With womens lingerie sets, they can simply grab and go. They only have to know their honey's size and favorite color. Voila! The shopping is done!

Lingerie sets also make very nice bachelorette party gifts. On our honeymoons, we all want to have perfectly lovely undergarments. A polka dot bra with flowered panties is a no-no. Save the mismatched drawers for after the honeymoon is over - and has been over for 10 years. We can all help save our girlfriends from un-sexy clashing undergarments with the gift of a nice matching lingerie set.

Matching lingerie sets also keep your undergarment collection evenly balanced. Ladies, how many times have you gone to get dressed and found a drawer full of knickers but no bras in sight? We women have a tendency to shop "a la carte," so to speak. A sassy thong will catch our attention. Before we know it, we've bought one in every color. Now we've got thirty pairs of panties and only ten bras. That's never a problem if you're buying matching lingerie sets. You'll always have an even number of bras and panties.

Plus, if you've got coordinating lingerie sets, you can easily get dressed for work in your 6 am semi-conscious state. Feel free to hit the snooze button one last time. You can just slip on your matching bra and panties (you should probably cover them with a top and pants) and dash out the door.

Not all lingerie sets are sweet and simple bras and panties. Like we've already said, sheer erotic lingerie is a favorite in the world of womens lingerie sets. But remember that you can take a foray into the world of exotic lingerie with matching sets, too. You can easily find leather lingerie as part of a matching set. For instance, if you're in the mood for exotic lingerie, try a matching leather corset and leather thong. Not into leather? Get daring with a red deep V teddy with a matching garter belt and stockings.

To sum it up: matching lingerie sets are all you need to build the perfect lingerie collection!

The Most Controversial Broadway Shows

10. The Full Monty

The Full Monty is a musical with a book by Terrence McNally and score by David Yazbek. In this Americanized musical stage version adapted from the 1997 British film of the same name, six unemployed Buffalo steelworkers, low on both cash and prospects, decide to present a strip act at a local club after seeing their wives' enthusiasm for a touring company of Chippendales. One of them, Jerry, declares that their show will be better than the Chippendales dancers because they'll go "the full monty" strip all the way. As they prepare for the show, working through their fears, self-consciousness, and anxieties, they overcome their inner demons and find strength in their camaraderie. -Wikipedia.org

9. Avenue Q

Avenue Q is a musical in two acts, conceived by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, who wrote the music and lyrics. The book was written by Jeff Whitty and the show was directed by Jason Moore. It is an "autobiographical and biographical" coming-of-age parable, addressing and satirizing the issues and anxieties associated with entering adulthood. Its characters lament that as children, they were assured by their parents, and by children's television programs such as PBS's Sesame Street, that they were "special" and "could do anything"; but as adults, they have discovered to their surprise and dismay that in the real world their options are not unlimited, and they are no more "special" than anyone else.

Originally conceived as a television series, the show was developed as a stage production at the 2002 National Music Theatre Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut. It was co-produced Off Broadway by The New Group and the Vineyard Theatre, where it opened in March 2003. The production transferred to Broadway in July 2003, where it won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and spawned Las Vegas and West End productions, two national tours, and a variety of international productions. -Wikipedia.org

8. Victor/Victoria

Victor/Victoria is a musical with a book by Blake Edwards, music by Henry Mancini, lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and additional musical material (music and lyrics) by Frank Wildhorn. It is based on the 1982 film of the same name. Mancini died before he could complete the music, and Wildhorn was brought in to finish the score. The original Broadway production, in 1995, aroused some mild controversy when the star, Julie Andrews, feeling that the rest of the show had been overlooked, refused her (and the show's only) Tony Award nomination. -Wikipedia.org

7. The Rocky Horror Show

The Rocky Horror Show is a long-running British horror comedy stage musical, opening in London on 19 June 1973. It was written by Richard O'Brien, and developed by O'Brien in collaboration with Australian theater director Jim Sharman. It came eighth in a BBC Radio 2 listener poll of the "Nation's Number One Essential Musicals". -Wikipedia.org

6. Cabaret

Cabaret is a musical with a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. The 1966 Broadway production became a hit and spawned a 1972 film as well as numerous subsequent productions. It is based on John Van Druten's 1951 play I Am a Camera, which in turn was adapted from the novel Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher Isherwood. Set in 1931 Berlin as the Nazis are rising to power, it focuses on nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub and revolves around the 19-year-old English cabaret performer Sally Bowles and her relationship with the young American writer Cliff Bradshaw.

A sub-plot involves the doomed romance between German boarding house owner Frulein Schneider and her elderly suitor Herr Schultz, a Jewish fruit vendor. Overseeing the action is the Master of Ceremonies at the Kit Kat Klub which serves as a constant metaphor for the tenuous and threatening state of late Weimar Germany throughout the show. -Wikipedia.org

5. West Side Story

West Side Story is an American musical with a script by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and choreography by Jerome Robbins. The musical's plot and story are based on William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Set in New York City in the mid-1950s, the musical explores the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. The members of the Sharks from Puerto Rico are taunted by the Jets, a white working-class group.

The young protagonist, Tony, one of the Jets, falls in love with Maria, the sister of Bernardo, the leader of the Sharks. The dark theme, sophisticated music, extended dance scenes, and focus on social problems marked a turning point in American musical theatre. Bernstein's score for the musical has become extremely popular; it includes "Something's Coming", "Maria", "America", "Somewhere", "Tonight", "Jet Song", "I Feel Pretty", "A Boy Like That", "One Hand, One Heart", "Gee, Officer Krupke" and "Cool". -Wikipedia.org

4. Rent

Rent is a rock opera with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's opera La bohme. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The musical was first seen in a limited three-week workshop production at New York Theatre Workshop in 1994.

This same New York City off-Broadway theatre was also the musical's initial home following its official January 25, 1996 opening. The show's creator, Jonathan Larson, died suddenly the night before the off-Broadway premiere. The show won a Pulitzer Prize, and the production was a hit. The musical moved to Broadway's larger Nederlander Theatre on April 29, 1996. -Wikipedia.org

3. Spring Awakening

Spring Awakening is a rock musical adaptation of the controversial 1891 German play of the same title by Frank Wedekind. It features music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater. Set in late-19th century Germany, it concerns teenagers who are discovering the inner and outer tumult of sexuality.

The original play was banned in Germany for a while due to its portrayal of masturbation, abortion, homosexuality, rape, child abuse and suicide. In the musical, alternative rock is employed as part of the folk-infused rock score. Spring Awakening received eleven 2007 Tony Award nominations, winning eight, including Tonys for best musical, direction, book, score and featured actor. The show also won four Drama Desk Awards, while its London production won four Olivier Awards. -Wikipedia.org

2. Equus

Equus is a play by Peter Shaffer written in 1973, telling the story of a psychiatrist who attempts to treat a young man who has a pathological religious/sexual fascination with horses. Shaffer was inspired to write Equus when he heard of a crime involving a 17-year-old who blinded twenty six horses in a small town near London. He set out to construct a fictional account of what might have caused the incident, without knowing any of the details of the crime. The play's action is something of a detective story, involving the attempts of the child psychiatrist, Dr. Martin Dysart, to understand the cause of the boy's actions while wrestling with his own sense of purpose. -Wikipedia.org

1. Hair

Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical is a rock musical with a book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot. A product of the hippie counter-culture and sexual revolution of the 1960s, several of its songs became anthems of the anti-Vietnam War peace movement. The musical's profanity, its depiction of the use of illegal drugs, its treatment of sexuality, its irreverence for the American flag, and its nude scene caused much comment and controversy.

The musical broke new ground in musical theatre by defining the genre of "rock musical", using a racially integrated cast, and inviting the audience onstage for a "Be-In" finale. Hair tells the story of the "tribe", a group of politically active, long-haired hippies of the "Age of Aquarius" living a bohemian life in New York City and fighting against conscription into the Vietnam War. Claude, his good friend Berger, their roommate Sheila and their friends struggle to balance their young lives, loves and the sexual revolution with their rebellion against the war and their conservative parents and society. Ultimately, Claude must decide whether to resist the draft as his friends have done, or to compromise his pacifistic principles and risk his life by serving in Vietnam. -Wikipedia.org

Emails TO TV Show (My Favorite District Attorney)

Big TV Show Idea: My brother Ruben Thu, November 13, 2008 4:26:48 PM

From: Sophialaurenea Destine

To: Talk Show Host

Ms. Banks meet my brother Ruben. I can't tell you his last name. I have to protect my parents. Ruben started his life in the streets. Him and Ivan bump heads always. He was sixteen going on sixty. Ruben is wise beyond his age. Never interested in illegal drugs and crime; however, danger was his middle name. He LOVES bikes and cars. Ruben gave a new meaning to racing. He could put an old car together and make it better. He had great hatred for school and worst people who attempt to tell what to do. Ivan was the only one who could control Ruben. I think Ruben biological dad really mess him up. I think he dislike my dad for having it together.

Long story short: One night my uncle who was employed at NYPD slept over. He put his gun in a dresser draw. 3: 05 am my father and brother were fighting. My father whip him for staying out all night. The fact Ruben curse him out didn't help much. Ruben got the gun. Everyone held their breath. He pulled the trigger, Ms. Banks. My father lost it again!!!! You see THANK GOD the gun wasn't loaded. Jockleen saved the day. She got between my dad and brother.Later, my brother decided to be a police officer just to get on Ivan nerves.

It turn out that was the best thing he ever did. Ruben is a Scorpio. He loves me to death. It was weird how close he was to our mom. Every time Jockleen would ask him to get the kids ( us, his brothers and sisters)and tell them it istime to eat dinner. He would say " My mother said it time to eat." If someone was talking to my mom, and Ruben didn't know them: He would say "Who is speaking to my mother. Who is in the house with my mother."One time in Brooklyn, we were playing stick ball. It was a beautiful day. The sun was bright. I was on first base ready to come to home plate.

That's all I remember that day. My friends told me all that happen. You see they told me: That blood started to gush out my nose then I pass out. Ruben picked me up and started running. They said he ran me all the way to the hospital. Not bad for NYPD officer, they said he ran like he had fire on his heels. I remember they put me in a cool bed/room. The doctor tie a rubber tube in my nose. The nurse told Ruben to leave. He didn't leave me. I believe that why Ruben's wife can't stand me. You see Ruben can't stand hospitals. He was never present when his children were born.

But, he was there with me in the hospital holding my hands. It's so weird. My brothers were always rough with me. At hockey games, I was their puck. Theythrew me around on the ice. IT WAS SO COOL!! And my rush of being thrown with all that speed was OUT OF THIS WORLD! At the table to my mother great horror, my brothers and I had burping contests. When I went to the boxing ring with them; they taught how to fight like a guy not a girl. I look up to my brothers like they were un-defeated giants. But being sick, was a whole other story. They treated me like glass which I hate!!! I wanted to be though/strong just like them.

It broke Ruben heart when he snooped around and read my diary. Don't think I am stupid but; I use to count every abortion Jennifer, Georgette, Sabrina and Evelyn had. Stupid huh! I did, in my mind they were little cupids in heaven. I would say "I am sorry little one, your mommy loves you, she was just too young. Do not worry little one I will talk and play with you all day long." I think it was then Ruben made it his business to keep me busy; so I didn't spend much time around my sisters and cousins. He mainly said on numerous occasions Jennifer/Georgette were bad influences on me.

I think my brother Ruben busted several veins when I fell for Jeovanni. (That isa whole other story!!!). Ruben had deep hatred for Det. Jerry Giorgio at the 34pct. He didn't like how the 34pct was treating me. Matthew kept Ruben in line. I forgot to tell you after Ruben was 1st grade detective: He heard Ivan speaking to Mr. Windell (a Jewish guy, a lawyer). I don't know but Ruben decide to expand his career under Mr. Windell. Then Mr. Windell die in his sleep. Ruben and Ivan started talking. One of Ivan happiest days was seeing Ruben become a District Attorney. They were not best buddies; they were civil with one another. It turns out that Ivan gave Mr. Windell funds so Ruben could go to the academy (NYPD).

Life is so funny. He thought or assume he was getting on my father nerves. My father was supporting him all the way. Anyway, Ruben dislike detective Jerry Giorgio because I was volunteering my spiritual gifts with Jerry and not Ruben police buddies. I think Det. Giorgio started to found out about my reverse aging. Back when I was 31 years old (Chronological age); I was talking to Det. Giorgio on the phone. I remember telling him " I am 31 years of age" his reply " You're still a baby". From that conversation on the phone; Ruben panic. He assumed the detective knew about my biological age.

You guest it. Ruben had my phone tap. At different times, he paid PI to follow me after I left New York. He a little CO0-CO (CRAZY!!!). That is Ruben, I love him. Right now, I am not speaking to him because he came between Tino and me. He told Tino that my biological clock is reversing, I never hadXXX and I am dying. I felt it was my place to tell Tino not him. I have not spoke to Ruben since June 2008. We set off each other buttons. Back in Santa Barbara, I was working at Territory Ahead. There is a rule no cell phones on the floor.

Ruben must have called me a hundred times. When I finally answered; he let me have it. He didn't believe me about Territory Ahead rule of no cell phone on the floor. So I got angry. I mean real angry. Here it isI am in my late thirties chronological age: And I have to deal with his integration. I gave it back in full spades. I said " Okay, Ruben I was at an orgy having wild-wet-passionate sex then I smoke some slurm (I meant to say Sherm)." then I said "That's not all at three O'clock I will walk down State Street and say $5.00, $5.00 for my punanee (a Jamaican term for vagina)".

I heard a crash like a vase breaking.Later, I found out that Ruben punched a window. He got 18 stitches. I felt real bad. Just because my body is reversing doesn't mean all those years I lived didn't count. I get so mad when Ruben treats me like a baby. So, this time I choose to keep my distance. Because I can be a pill when my button are pushed. I know he is doing it out of love. He wants to protect me. I JUST WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE AND BE INDEPENDENT!!!!!! REGARDLESS OF MY BIOLOGICAL AGE!!!!!!!! Man! that felt so good to say, ha. ha.There's another guy who Ivan paid to go tothe New York Police Academy. He hates me. So, I can no longer call him my brother. Yes! It's true detectiveAnthony Sammuel Grahmanhates my ass. He does not believe I am dying, my biological clock is reversing and spiritual gifted.

He didn't even believe me when I call him and told him: That Ivan was dead. You see Anthony's mother HelenGraham was my father's third wife. He use to be one of my favorite but know: He is dead to me to. Let me just say if I got shot and detective Graham was the only one there to help me. I would choose to die then get his assistance. He didn't have the decency to go to Ivan's wake and funeral. Boy!Ivan helped him and he couldn't even go to his wake and funeral. He isjust mad because his fellow officer Vernon is a crooked NYPD cop. I use to work for Vernon at Alexander Security Company.

He never gave me my last pay check. I took him to Small Court. I won because Vernon 's people never showed up. I thinkDet. Grahamis mostly mad because I cured AngelGraham of Ovarian Cancer. (I mean God healed Angel through me by using my spiritual gifts.). Remember, I told you Ms.Banksif I see something illegal: I am going to tell.Det. Grahamforgot he taught me to be honest just like Ivan, Ruben and Matthew. I AM GOING TO TELL THE TRUTH AND I DON'T CARE WHO DON'T LIKE IT!!!!! Boy! that feel so good to say.

Angel knows I cured her. She was always nice to me.Anyway my hands are itching me like crazy. I could sincerely use the money. Everyone is telling me to go to GA (General Assistance). I am hoping to get a job. I have too much pride.XXX is leaving the office soon: I guess I was wrong about him being assassinated. Praise the Lord! I didn't agree with some of his decisions and I definitely didn't like how he got his office yet a president is like a king to me. I respect him as a human being. I love XXX she has a lot of class. I am glad he is alive and well.I haven't been watching your talk show and ANTM. You know we play BINGO on Wednesday. It gives me a way to get lotion, Vaseline, baby powder, and shampoo (as prizes you know). Please, believe I am missing those shows like crazy!!!

Boy! I dream to get my own place. Tomorrow, I will introduce you to Matthew, he is my favorite brother. I am BROKE, UNEMPLOYED however, I AM HAPPY TO BE OUT OF LAS VEGAS.Tomorrow is Adam Walsh 's birthday. I have been meditating and praying. I want to give District Attorney my information the right way. Do you think I am greedy for praying that someone Caucasian-employed-successful finds out where Adam is and tell the authorities? Stupid huh! I am Pollyanna. I am hoping at least the Walsh's could know before Christmas (here I go again like all the other years). I mean if anyone deserve closure is the Walsh family. Jesus, I heard and saw on MSNBC about Caylee Anthony. It is almost like Lacy Peterson but this time it's a child. I want to have happy thoughts.Thank you Dr.Banks oh! I did the real age thing on Dr.Oz: It says my real age is 39.8 It made me very happy. Too bad, Dr.Oz can't see my pelvic x-ray and a scan of my brain/skull.THAT WOULD BE TOO EMBARRASSING!!!!!!!

How Can You Increase Blog Traffic From Scratch

Being consistent of your efforts is the first thing you have to get into your mind to increase blog traffic; without any consistency, it just leads to laziness. The best way to keep your blog fresh is to post two blog entries each week; this is to make sure that you achieve balance within your blogging efforts. If you have an e-mail list, then you will want to give your subscribers a good reason to trust you, and if they see you are not consistent with your blog. They will unsubscribe to your list.

You might want to consider doing your keyword research correctly. When you start a blog, what exactly IS your main topic or niche? Are just blogging for the sake of blogging? Simply put there has to be reasons you choose blogging. You may have the right way to go about keyword targeting but if no one is typing your keyword phrase in the search engines, then it is most likely they will never find you. It is within your interest to use the free Google Adwords keyword tool to find what people are searching for on Google. The best results for people to find you is to consider the backlinks should build on the site as they decide if you will be on the first page of Google.

You Can increase blog traffic by Using the Social Bookmarking Sites

There is a way for you to increase blog traffic is to utilize social bookmarking. Every day someone bookmarks a site to show that they have interest in the topic, and they have enjoyed the story. Here is the tricky part; you have to make your headlines sound appealing towards your potential customers. The more appealing the topic, the better chance for you of getting traffic geared towards your blog. Do not stress yourself out though because not everyone can write a great title-catching headline.
Test various headlines to see which one fits with the topic that best fits your blog. Social bookmarking is not only a great way to increase blog traffic, it's also one way to share blogs with others who have similar interests. Many sites do not allow you to send self-appointed content alone and only content you have created; this is a common rule to tell people it's always good to give quality.

Most People Forgot to Use Their RSS Feeds to Help Increase Blog Traffic

Do you know all about really simple syndication, or better known as RSS? It'll come in handy with your blog as you update your blog consistently. Now be honest with yourself, what do you see on every blog you come across? Do you see that little orange cube on the top right or bottom right of the webpage? That icon is called an RSS feed, and it should not be ignored. That same icon can help you increase blog traffic tenfold as Google likes to gather content from it. The one advantage with an RSS feed is that you don't have to worry about spam. If the user has an RSS reader, then he or she will be updated on a regularly basis.

As a may know blogs hold lots of search engine weight if used correctly. The RSS feed and the blog itself ranks higher in the search engines than any website that has a sales page or just a splash page. Every time you make a post, the RSS feed is updated, and the search engines will be notified if you ping it properly. New visitors will start to come if you update frequent basis; this gives you an even greater chance to introduce yourself to potential customers.

Maybe You Are Increase Blog Traffic but You Have to Track Where Your Visitors Are Coming From

Are you tracking your blog status to see which traffic method is working? With the use of Google Analytics, you can set up your website to help track where your visitors are coming from, directly or indirectly. Using this tool is not responsible for increasing your blog traffic, but it helps you to find out if your traffic methods are worth your time. The most notable importance of using Google Analytics is that you're going to tell which types of traffic you are getting on your site.

Always remember to create two blog posts every week to help increase blog traffic; eventually, you'll want to build a strong following and long-lasting trust if you want to increase blog traffic.

Funny Best Speeches: How to Prepare and Deliver a Funny Best Man Speech

Having the best man at a wedding delivering a great speech about the groom seems to be a common tradition. Some people simply do not like getting in front of a crowd of any size to talk. They feel nervous or are just plain scared about it. In reality, delivering something comical will help break the silence within the crowd and will help you feel more comfortable about being in front of them.

When preparing for your funny best man speech, it is a common situation that you simply do not know where to begin. Failing to deliver is probably a very scary thought for you. When considering going with a humorous best man speech, you should learn from the best. The best at doing these types of things would certainly be stand up comedians. When we look at stand up comedians, you sometimes just consider these people to be naturally humorous. However, this is not always the case.

A lot of the time you will find that there is just great delivery within their jokes that make it funny. These are things they have worked on. To make this thing short, there are three things that any entertainer uses to make things run smoothly. Preparation, organization, and delivery are huge.
First, preparation is absolutely crucial. When you look at a comedian, it is not the first time that they have told the joke when you see them live. In fact, they have probably had it in their head for days prior. They have probably told the joke to their friends and said it in front of a mirror a few dozen times prior to being up on stage. You should always plan out the things you are going to say within your speech.

The second step is organization. Make sure that your stories flow with one another. If they don't, you could perhaps be viewed as just rambling and it would make it much less funny, or even worse, a funny story that is not funny at all.

The third, as mentioned above, is delivery. Once you have your speech laid out and you know how it is going to come out, you have to be ready to deliver it. Follow through with your plan. Not everyone is going to laugh at every single thing you say. However, sticking with your plan will help you stay focused and keep from stuttering.

Make sure your speech is smooth and focus on one person if you have to. You will do fine by following these steps! The second step is organization. Make sure that your stories flow with one another. Smallville Season 10 Premiers Friday Night 8PM

Watch Smallville Season 10 Episode 1. While Smallville may have just concluded its ninth season, this is just the second season to feature the new, reinvented, Metropolis storyline. Season 8 started strong but faltered towards the latter half of the season. Thankfully, Season 9 doesn't suffer the same fate and offers us some of the best Smallville we've seen in a long time.

Clark Kent (Tom Welling) may look silly to some as the Blur, but it does allow the Smallville writing team the opportunity to delve into the duality of the character without having to turn him into the Man of Steel just yet. The story essentially plays out like a Superman: Year One. Unlike previous seasons, Clark has truly embraced his destiny and is allowing himself to even enjoy his life as a Superhero. He may have to live in the shadows, keeping his face from the public eye, but he carries that S-Shield proudly into battle and over the course of the season it even develops as a symbol that his fans will embrace. S-Shield coffee mugs!

Though Clark is starting to slip comfortably into the role of humanity's protector, he's still faced with challenges that force him to confront the problems with leading a dual, even triple, life. Clark isn't just torn between being Earth's protector and Clark Kent, this season he's also forced to struggle with his Kryptonian heritage. With the introduction of Zod and the Kandorians, Clark becomes conflicted and finds himself siding with Zod and trying to help them, even against the better judgment of his peers. This conflict is what the season primarily focuses on and it's exciting to watch it unfold. Clark has to make a lot of tough decisions here, decisions that will shape the man he is to become, and he doesn't always make the right ones - but that is what makes this season so good.

Many were a little skeptical about the introduction of a younger Zod, especially after we've already witnessed Clark do battle with another Zod, via Lex, only a few seasons earlier. Thankfully, Callum Blue as Zod pays off and does what Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman) has failed to do as a character - become a realistic and formidable villain for Clark. Tess' motives have never been clear, her character has flip flopped constantly between shades of grey over the past two seasons, and the series has suffered for it. With Zod, we get a villain with a clear understanding of what he wants and his actions throughout the season are true to his purpose. Blum does a great job in the role, providing an important presence as a strong villain who can be cold and calculating yet teeter on the edge of madness.
The Kandorians themselves remained fairly undeveloped as individuals, with the story only ever really highlighting Zod's love interest Faora (Sharon Taylor) and her sister Vala (Crystal Lowe). Their story ties in nicely with the final half of the season, providing Zod with key motivation in the final act. The rest of the Kandorians find themselves conflicted between Clark's promise of a new life and Zod's declaration for a new Krypton on Earth. It's an interesting dilemma, and while we do explore their thoughts on the matter, we don't nearly hear their voice enough.

The story of Clark vs. Zod culminates brilliantly in one of the best season finales the show has had in years. For those of you who remember "Reckoning", the same director, Greg Beeman, helms the finale after being away from the series for several seasons. There's no late season disappoint this year. While not all the episodes are as stellar as we could have hoped, the latter half of Season 9 is just as strong as the first, making this one of the best seasons of the show since Season 5.

Zod isn't the only new villain introduced in Season 9. Metallo makes a couple of appearances throughout the season and is surprisingly portrayed as a sympathetic character. Brian Austin Green, who battled cybernetic organisms in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, now becomes one himself and is exceptional in the part. He switches between the sympathetic John Corben and the violent Metallo effortlessly.

Throughout the season there are a sprinkling of DC Universe heroes and villains, but non quite as surprising as Checkmate. The reason they are surprising has nothing to do with the fact that we didn't know they would show up, their appearance was telegraphed with the announcement of Pam Grier as Amanda Waller, but with how poorly they were used over the course of the latter half of the season. Checkmate was a huge opportunity to cement a new, clandestine, organization in the Smallville universe and the characters stumbled at every step; never establishing themselves as a formidable villain.

It's hard to talk about Season 9 of Smallville without discussing Geoff Johns fantastic "Absolute Justice" two hour episode that aired mid season. It may have been exposition heavy but it also provided us with near-perfect recreations of some of DC Comics' most memorable characters; Michael Shanks as Hawkman, Brittney Irvin as Stargirl and Brent Stait as Dr. Fate. Even more make cameo appearances via flashback throughout the episode. It's recommended viewing for any longtime DC fan but Smallville fans who may not read the comic books should get plenty of enjoyment out of the story as well.

As usual, romantic relationships play an important role in the story this season. Lois (Erica Durance) and Clark become romantically involved early on in the season providing a much-needed evolution to the sexual tension they were experiencing in the previous season. While silly at times, for the most part their relationship feels genuine. Clark still struggles with telling Lois the truth about his Kryptonian heritage much like he did with Lana. Thankfully however, Lois doesn't get caught up in this issue for most of the season, she's too busy working towards advancing her career. She cares deeply about Clark, but never lets that overwhelm her own life. After the complete failure to establish Lana as an independent character, this is an incredible breath of fresh air.

With the death of some guy named Jimmy Olsen (I've tried to wipe that story from memory), Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack) shuts herself off from the outside world. Locked up in the new Watchtower, Chloe spends most episodes monitoring events via a computer screen much like that other Chloe on 24. Not to worry however, there is plenty in store for Miss Sullivan in the latter half of the season, including a surprising new love interest.

Oliver Queen's (Justin Hartley) storyline is a bit of a tumultuous ride. His story arc through the first half of the season demands more screen time (entire episodes even) than its worth. Some may find his self-loathing journey an interesting tale but it drags on longer than needed. Much like Chloe, he becomes a lot more exciting in the second half of the season, returning to his old, cheerful self.

Smallville may be long in the tooth, but it continues to stride with youthful exuberance, even in Season 9. There's no question that this story needs to wrap up by the end of next season (Now Confirmed!), as the story of Clark Kent can't remain interesting in this stage of his development forever, but the very fact that so many are excited for Season 10 is testament enough to the success of this season.

Remember, Watch Smallville Season 10 Episode 1 - Lazarus.
